Nike Ja 1 “Scratch” Revealed

Ja Morant is officially receiving his very own signature performance basketball shoe. Drafted in 2019, Morant is Nike Basketball’s first Gen Z athlete. Nike and Ja Morant have been working on this shoe for over two years, and it will soon be available to the public. Morant first debuted the Nike Ja 1 on Christmas day for his game against the Golden State Warriors. This upcoming “Scratch” release pays homage to Grizzlies’ early days when they were located in Vancouver. Dressed in teal, black, red, and white, the shoe draws inspiration from the team’s classic jersey design. Claw marks and brown detailing are also incorporated into the design for this Ja 1 to represent the team’s mascot.
